<p><span class="C9DxTc ">The Diploma in Computer Science programme is designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the analysis, design, and development of software and applications. Students will take courses such as Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, Introduction to Data Structures and Algorithms, and Parallel and Distributed Computing. They will also study foundational topics that include operating systems, computer networks, computer architecture, programming techniques, databases, and discrete mathematics which are essential for a well-rounded education in computer science.&nbsp; Additionally, the program includes 20 weeks of industrial training, providing students with valuable hands-on experience and exposure to real-world applications in the industry. This practical experience can significantly enhance their qualifications and improve their employment prospects.</span><span class="C9DxTc ">&nbsp;</span></p>

<p>(1) SPM - 3 Credits in the relevant subjects<br />(2) O Level - 3 Grade C in the relevant subjects<br />(3) UEC - 3 Grade B in the relevant subjects<br />(4) Certificate - Relevant Certificate accredited by MQA OR Relevant Skilled/Technical/Vocational Certificate accredited by MQA or recognised by the Malaysian Government</p><p><strong>Compulsory subjects:</strong></p><p>i) (1), (2) and (3) SPM Credit in Additional Mathematics/ O Level Grade C in Mathematics-Additional/ UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject</p><p>OR</p><p>SPM Credit/O Level Grade C in Mathematics AND Grade C in AMMS0204 Mathematics conducted by TAR UMT</p><p>Student who do not have at leat a pass in English Language (SPM/O level/UEC) must attend TAR UMT Essential English Skills course during their first semester in the programme</p><p><strong>Note:</strong></p><p>a) SPM holders must have at least a pass in Bahasa Melayu and SPM holders from Year 2013 onwards must have at least a pass in Sejarah.<br />b) Students without a credit in SPM Bahasa Melayu are required to pass Bahasa Kebangsaan A before the award of Diploma.<br />c) Equivalent qualifications/qualifications from other Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.<br />d) Subject to the Ministry of Education latest requirements.</p>
